Background
Words can be so much fun! This activity provides students with the opportunity to be creative and make a colourful piece of
art using SunSmart related words and the Word Art website. Students experiment with the different functions such as font,
colour, style, shape and so much more, to develop their very own, unique SunSmart word storm art.

- Class brainstorm words associated with being SunSmart.
- Use key questions to further develop ideas.
- List words on the board and discuss the different themes or categories such as sunscreen, beach, ultraviolet (UV)
radiation and sun protection. - Experiment and develop word storm art using the shape, style, colour and font options.
- Print, glue onto card and display.

- Do any of the words belong to specific themes or categories?
- What colours would you associate with sun protection?
- What colour pallet are you going to use? Why?
- What words would work better than others?
